GFIA has provided comments to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on its global anti-base erosion proposal (Pillar 2), where GFIA highlighted key messages from its previous submissions and requested a transparent process that includes a public stakeholder consultation.
GFIA reiterated concerns about the operational complexity in the OECD’s likely approach and urged it to take insurers’ business models into account.
GFIA also called for clarifications in the OECD’s proposal to avoid issues such as double taxation and unnecessary compliance complexity.
